The City of Westmount is aligning with the Ville de Montréal’s directives to support the regional effort to reduce peak drinking water demand and relieve pressure on the water supply system while the McTavish supply corridor is operating with reduced redundancy.

Accordingly, the City will implement the following measures until the request to reduce drinking water consumption is lifted:
Measures for Residents and Businesses
As in most of the Agglomeration, Westmount residents are strongly encouraged to adopt water-saving practices. Residents are asked to reduce discretionary water use by limiting lawn watering, postponing the filling or topping up of swimming pools, and avoiding the washing of driveways, vehicles, and other exterior surfaces whenever possible.
