Access to Documents



Submit the form below if you wish to obtain a copy of a document held by the City of Westmount.

As a public body, the City is subject to An Act respecting Access to Documents held by Public Bodies and the Protection of Personal Information (chapter A-2.1). It has twenty (20) days to answer your request. However, in some cases, this delay may be extended up to 30 days.

The requests to access to document are free. However, the City, as public body, may charge a fee not exceeding the cost of transcribing, transmitting or copying the document. The person in charge of access to documents will give you the required information before proceeding.

If you have difficulty identifying the document you are looking for, you can send an e-mail to the City’s Legal Department at legal@westmount.org.

Include any relevant information, such as the name or title of the document, the author, the subject, the address of the property for which you are requesting information, etc.
Do you have a consent or power of attorney from the owner, or a resolution of the Board of Directors and/or of the Syndicate of the co-owners (if applicable), of the building or unit for which you are requesting information?
