Application for a permit to distribute circulars

Application is hereby made for the issuance of a permit for the distribution of circulars under By-law 1032.

Indicate the approximate number of flyers to be distributed, the distribution route, and the planned distribution dates and times.

Note:

  • No circular may be distributed to any private residence or apartment building in the City, except in accordance with the provisions of this By-law and pursuant to the issuance of a permit by the Director, following payment of the permit fees.
  • No permit shall be issued unless and until the distributor of the circular(s) concerned has filed with the Director an application form for such permit.
  • The distributor shall undertake to comply with the provisions of this By-law and to secure compliance therewith by every carrier who distributes the circular(s) for which the permit is sought.
  • Every distributor shall provide identification to each carrier who will deliver the circular(s) for which the permit is sought.
  • Any false or misleading statement made on the application form shall entail the automatic dismissal of the application and, where applicable, the automatic revocation and/or non-renewal of the permit issued.
  • No permit shall be issued unless and until permit fees have been paid to the treasurer in the following amounts:
    • Distributor is an individual or a non-profit organization: $15.00
    • Distributor is a profit-making organization: $100.00
    • Distributor applies for a permit to distribute circulars four (4) or more times in a calendar year on behalf of any one publisher, one such permit to be applied for in respect of each publisher whose circulars the distributor is to so distribute: $350.00
