Lead Subsidy Programme: Replacement of private water services

You must be the property owner or an authorized representative to submit this request.

The programme offers homeowners a financial incentive to undertake these works if they meet the conditions defined within the programme and until available funds are exhausted for the calendar year. Owners must apply for this grant after the work to replace their private lead or galvanized steel water service pipes has been completed.

Proxy on behalf of the owner, if applicable.
- The proxy must be signed by all owners, if applicable. In the case of ownership by a company, a resolution authorizing the applicant to submit the request must be provided.

Proof of ownership (municipal tax account for the current year or deed of purchase).
Signed attestation from registered CMMTQ plumber/contractor confirming the existing private pipe was made of lead or galvanized steel and confirming that all non-conforming materials were replaced.
- Include replacement dates and include supporting pictures.
Detailed invoice from contractor registered to the Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ) who carried out work on the connection on behalf of the owner(s), as well as a copy from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).
Detailed invoice(s) of all other eligible expenses, including excavation, purchase of materials necessary for the replacement of the lead or galvanized steel water service pipe, backfill and landscaping.
Photos of landscape before and after the work and any other supporting documents proving that eligible work has been carried out.
Copies of issued permits by the City.
